St Patricks Day Green Zoya Polish Giveaway!


Hi Everyone!
Midnight Manicures latest giveaway is 3 of my favorite green Zoya Nail Polishes for St Patrick's Day.

Giveaway starts February 25, 2013 at 12:00AM EST and ends March 11, 2013 at 12:00AM EST.  It is open to US Residents age 13+.  The only method mandatory for entry is your email address so that we can reach you in case you are the winner.  All other methods are optional.  Limit one entry per method except those that are available daily.  Anyone found abusing this will be banned from this and future giveaways.  Please see the Disclosures page for additional information.

    I love St. Patrick's Day because my boyfriend is full-blooded Irish - his whole family is from Galway. All our friends have a big party and we make authentic Irish fare - it is such a fun time!

I am back to blogging finally!  Thanks for all your patience through a very rough time in my life.  Back in July 2013, I flew to Las Vegas for Cosmoprof North America.  One of my favorite things to do after the show was to go shopping at The Forums Shops At Caesars .  One of the first shops I went into was Dior, I was hooked immediately.  I did not have any Dior Beauty products so I purchased my first polish, Psychedelic Orange and a lip pencil to match.  Since then, my Dior collection has increased by 2 or 3 more polishes and a Gel Top Coat which I love! I chose today to finally show you this polish because a group of bloggers are linking together for Dior Day Blogger Linkup.  Psychedelic Orange is almost a jellish cream polish.  I used 3 coats above and you can still see a little VNL, but this doesn't bother me one bit.  Even though it didn't need it I did top it with one coat of the Dior Gel Coat, which is my favorite top coat...

Nfu-Oh Aqua Base...Worth it? Necessary?

Tonight I was doing swatches of some holographic polishes that I haven't tried yet. Nfu-Oh's, Essences from Europe and BK's from Hong Kong. And the question that keeps coming up, is the Nfu-Oh Aqua Base really necessary? Isn't there a cheaper easier to access brand available? I've seen this asked more than anything else recently and it even came up in our Nail Polish and Gossip Group on Facebook. I'm going to let you answer this question for yourself, here are pictures I took, all using Nfu-Oh #66 Green Holographic polish. On the first picture, on my thumb, middle and pinky finger, I used the Nfu-Oh Aqua base coat, on the ring and pointer finger I used another well known brand of base coat.
