Guest Post - Halloween Hello Kitty Nail Art with Tricia


Hi, today I decided to do a Halloween design with one of my favorite characters- Hello Kitty. I usually paint my kitty free-hand but ever since I got the Hello Kitty stamping plate I use that more often for my nail art since its much faster and easier than doing freehand, especially when I don't have too much free time. 
For this design, I used 2 shades of black for stamping: Konad's black stamping polish and Color club's where's the soiree, to compare the stamping difference. The Konad black is obviously the best, but Where's the soiree is pretty good also, by far the best black I have tried stamping with other than Konad's black.

Northern lights hologram topcoat


1) Paint nail in Pretty in Platinum.

2) Using the hello kitty image plate, stamp Kitty design using Where's the soiree.

3) Using BM 209, stamp hat image to cover kitty bow.

4) Using BM 13, stamp spiders and web image.

5) Finish up with Hologram topcoat.

    this is really cute! I've ever thought about using more than one stamp on a nail. You can do alot because your nails are so long =)

Hi Everyone! I am back to blogging finally!  Thanks for all your patience through a very rough time in my life.  Back in July 2013, I flew to Las Vegas for Cosmoprof North America.  One of my favorite things to do after the show was to go shopping at The Forums Shops At Caesars .  One of the first shops I went into was Dior, I was hooked immediately.  I did not have any Dior Beauty products so I purchased my first polish, Psychedelic Orange and a lip pencil to match.  Since then, my Dior collection has increased by 2 or 3 more polishes and a Gel Top Coat which I love! Nfu-Oh Aqua Base...Worth it? Necessary?

Tonight I was doing swatches of some holographic polishes that I haven't tried yet. Nfu-Oh's, Essences from Europe and BK's from Hong Kong. And the question that keeps coming up, is the Nfu-Oh Aqua Base really necessary? Isn't there a cheaper easier to access brand available? I've seen this asked more than anything else recently and it even came up in our Nail Polish and Gossip Group on Facebook. I'm going to let you answer this question for yourself, here are pictures I took, all using Nfu-Oh #66 Green Holographic polish. On the first picture, on my thumb, middle and pinky finger, I used the Nfu-Oh Aqua base coat, on the ring and pointer finger I used another well known brand of base coat.
