Pure Ice - No Means No - Guest Blogger Shannon from The Kracked Kat
Jeanie has her hands full these days with a litter of little pups so I offered to help her. Not with the puppies but by taking over for her for the day.
I'm Shannon from The Kracked Kat, new blogger on the block. I just recently became obsessed with nail polish. My little ones are old enough now that I can spend a little more time on myself. The best part is I have girls so I get to experiment on their nails too. Plus they see color differently than adults do so when we are shopping for polish I let them pick at least one color too. I usually wind up with something in my stash that I normally wouldn't have purchased on my own.
In fact it was one of my girls that picked out the polish I decided to share with you. Pure Ice No Means No is a smooth, dark purple polish. It kind of reminds me of the Welches Grape Jelly jar lid. Yeah, if grapes were actually purple this is the color they would be. No Means No went on nicely in two coats. The first coat is a little deceiving and leads you to think the color is going to be way lighter than the bottle.
I don't normally wear a lot of purple anything but I thought it would be a good base for some stamping. I wound up wearing Non Means No and entire day on it's own. Nope, no top coat. Any longer than a day and you will probably see some chipping.
Now, since I am not the "Plane Jane" kind of person, I just couldn't leave this manicure alone for too long. I added a sprinkle of Ulta's Pinata-Yada-Yada for some funky fun. Pinata-Yada-Yada reminds me of party confetti, so pretty and fun but a bitch to clean up.
As is customary on The Kracked Kat, here is a summary of Pure Ice No Means No:

I love Pure Ice!!! beautiful color!
ReplyDeleteLovely color! I heart grapes :-p
ReplyDeleteGreat color. I know what you mean about adding the glitter topper however. I almost have given that up until the last days I can get out of a good polish job. Thanks for introducing me to you and the classification of cream shimmer! I have such a time describing some of the finishes in my polish database. It's not a shimmer or a flake - it's like a slight shimmer. But I like your name better than slight shimmer!
ReplyDeletegreat combo, love chunky glitter over a shimmery purple :)
