Guest Post - Stamping with Amber from My Nail Graffiti

Hi polish lovers! My name is Amber and you can find me over at My Nail Graffiti. I am a fellow polish addict like you and my blog's main focus is on swatches and nail art. So obviously, that's what I am showing you today! :)

I took part in Barielle's Facebook half off sale recently and this is one of the polishes I picked out. It's called Blackened Bleu which is a black base with blue shimmer flecks throughout. SO pretty! To really make this color pop, it was layered over Sally Hansen Insta Dri Teal-y Fast. Which looks fabulous on it's own by the way. Anyway, here's my swatch for you ladies:


Next for some nail art, Wet N Wild Fast Dry in Silvivor was sponged in sort of a gradient at the tips. Then this star design from a Born Pretty stamping plate was layered on top in Konad White.

Hi Everyone! I am back to blogging finally!  Thanks for all your patience through a very rough time in my life.  Back in July 2013, I flew to Las Vegas for Cosmoprof North America.  One of my favorite things to do after the show was to go shopping at The Forums Shops At Caesars .  One of the first shops I went into was Dior, I was hooked immediately.  I did not have any Dior Beauty products so I purchased my first polish, Psychedelic Orange and a lip pencil to match.  Since then, my Dior collection has increased by 2 or 3 more polishes and a Gel Top Coat which I love! I chose today to finally show you this polish because a group of bloggers are linking together for Dior Day Blogger Linkup.  Psychedelic Orange is almost a jellish cream polish.  I used 3 coats above and you can still see a little VNL, but this doesn't bother me one bit.  Even though it didn't need it I did top it with one coat of the Dior Gel Coat, which is my favorite top coat...

Nfu-Oh Aqua Base...Worth it? Necessary?

Tonight I was doing swatches of some holographic polishes that I haven't tried yet. Nfu-Oh's, Essences from Europe and BK's from Hong Kong. And the question that keeps coming up, is the Nfu-Oh Aqua Base really necessary? Isn't there a cheaper easier to access brand available? I've seen this asked more than anything else recently and it even came up in our Nail Polish and Gossip Group on Facebook. I'm going to let you answer this question for yourself, here are pictures I took, all using Nfu-Oh #66 Green Holographic polish. On the first picture, on my thumb, middle and pinky finger, I used the Nfu-Oh Aqua base coat, on the ring and pointer finger I used another well known brand of base coat.
